The Forgiveness Project 5th Anniversary Event

On 26th January we celebrated our 5 Year anniversary in Hardwicke Buildings at Lincoln’s Inn. It was fantastic to be joined by so many people who have supported the project over the past few years. Our patron, Lord Woolf, spoke on behalf of the charity, and Richard McCann shared some of his story which began aged six when his mother became the first victim of Peter Sutcliffe. Adding some glamour to the event, one of the F Word stories was read by Harry Potter actor Jason Isaacs, plus two ex-offenders from our prison team reported on our workshop programme. Guests included Tony Benn, Lord Stone, Lord Ramsbottom, Rachel Billington and our new patron, Lady Simone Warner. Gordon Ramsay and Julian Metcalfe (Itsu/Pret a Manger) donated the food for the evening and our sincere thanks go to them for their overwhelming generosity.
